You can stay rest assured that my business is fully compliant with the law. All estate agents in the UK who engage in residential estate agency must:
✔️ Belong to an approved redress scheme that deals with complaints about buying and selling residential property. I’ve chosen The Property Ombudsman (TPO) scheme, a government-approved scheme that has been providing consumers and property agents with an alternative dispute resolution service since 1990. ✔️ Register with HMRC, to comply with their Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
✔️ Every organisation or sole trader processing personal information needs to register with The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and renew every year.
✔️ Adhere to the compliance requirements of the Estate Agency Act 1979 and The Estate Agents Regulations and Orders 1991. Many agents are blissfully unaware of their responsibilities under The Act. As I’m NAEA protected, you know that I’ve been tested on my knowledge and with Continuing Professional Development (CPD), demonstrates my ongoing professionalism and dedication.
